Forty Years of College was founded in late 1994 when college band mates Dr. David Larson (keyboard, guitar & vocals) and Mike Stiver (lead vocals & bass guitar) connected with Dr. Roy Goode (lead guitar, bass guitar & lead vocals), Dr. Tony Sanders (guitar, bass guitar & vocals) and Dr. Steve Baker (drums) to form a new group in Columbus.
Mike is not a doctor but does have a graduate degree, so they named the new group 40 Years of College, reflecting five members times eight years of education each.
Dr. Drew Robertson (conga drums, percussion & vocals) joined shortly thereafter, actually giving the band more like 48 combined years of college.
They practice weekly and love to play for listeners who enjoy the classic rock of the sixties and seventies.
