Columbus is a wonderful town to live in and, being local boys, the band decided to offer their services in support of the re-building of the Commons downtown. For more information about the project, visit the Save the Commons link.
We played in the gym at the new Central Middle School. Forty Years of College was the last band to play in the old school, before that building project got underway.
Featuring:
Our friend Andy Day filling-in for Tony on guitar and bass -
David Larson on guitar and keyboards
Roy Goode on guitar
Steve Baker on Drums
Drew Robertson on congas and other percussion
and Mike Stiver on vocals
People came and went all afternoon but who knew you could dance to Nowhere Man?
When Dave is playing his acoustic guitar while standing at the keyboard, it’s probably going to be Eagles tune. This time it was How Long.
The stage was set-up away from the wall, so I was able to take pictures from all sides. Did you know Steve learned to play barefoot and still plays that way?
The Commons petition drive ends in mid May, so hopefully Forty Years of College will be the first act to play at the new Commons next year! I think a good time was had by the band,
The grandkids,
and everyone else who dropped-in.
